Besides being elected to the National Honor Society Elbert is a member of Audio Xisual Club Hi-X Student Council was president of Speech Club band and choir junior class and home room was Ll National Thespian and Junior Rotarian. He was also athletic manager of the varsity squad. The Cup of 1923 goes to a very deserving student. D.A.R. This award was established by the Colonnade Club as a means of recognizing the qualities of character for which Gertrude Hills a former dean of girls stood. These are the qualities which make everyday liie run more smoothly - friendliness small services done cheerfully and unselfishly a cooperative attitude and de- pendability. Louine measures up to these requirements but has a record of leadership in addition. She was elected to the National Honor Society and was among the five highest scholastically. She also found time to be a member of Colonnade Club Speech Club the Keynote staff and uill and Scroll. She was home room secretary and pres- ident. She took a part in Seven Keys to Baldpate and Pride and Prejudice ' she was elected a National Thes- pian. Louine has displayed unusual talent on the clarinet and was an important member of band and dance band. 7
