Activities of Sault High are recorded on the pages of the KEYNOTE. Every other Wednesday afternoon the whole student body makes a mad rush for home rooms to get a copy of the paper and to read up on school events. Because of the difficulties in getting any one person to take on the responsibility of editing the paper, the KEYNOTE has had a succession of editors. The task is now being undertaken by members of the journalism class. These girls, working in pairs, rotate the job so that each pair will have done three issues by the end of the year. The editorial staff includes: Journalism Class-Marilyn Dettman, Jean Moloney, Jacqueline Lester, Kathryn Morrow, Vivian Staley, Mickey Armstrong, Margaret Tuxworth. Reporters-Louine Dahlman, Jacquelynn Janikowski, Evelyn Adams, Beverly Faught, Gloria Traynor, Virginia Mansfield, Joan Jorgenson, Gretchen Guck, Shirley O'Con- nor, Marilyn Fa'bry, Charlotte Williams, David Stegman, George McGovern, Tom Williamson. Sports-Ronald Cooper, Mervin Beadle, Jack Siibbald. KEYNOTE BUSINESS STAFF A very significant phase of KEYNOTIQ work is handled by the business staff. Unfortunately, the importance of this work is seldom realized by those who read the publi- cation. One of the business angles of a paper is the advertising. Ad collectors scour the town persuading merchants to buy .advertising space in the KEY'NOTE. Without the efforts of these people there could be no school publication. Circulation is also the problem of this staff. It takes charge of distributing copies within the school and of mail- ing exchange copies to other schools. Anne Traige, business manager, has the help of the following people: Gertrude Brown, Dorothy Bumstead, Cynthia Delaney, Gladys Eling, Joyce Fornicola, Joy Freeborn, Betty Gib- bons, Mary Jarvie, Anne Karras, Georgiana Kemp, David King, Mary Lou Matheson, George McGovern, Avis Mc- Lean, Ruth Rhind, Geraldine Schultz, Marian Smart, Betty Sylvester, Janice Wagner, Gertrude Watson, Ethel Yon, Barbara Ferguson, Robert Barnes, Barbara Welch. ' SAULT HIGH REVIEXV Six sophomore girls, under the supervision of Miss Marcel- la Frank, constitute the staff of the Sault High Review, a column which appears weekly in Tim EVENING News. The purpose of this column is to acquaint parents and townspeople with the activities of high school students. Members of the staff are Joan Jorgensen, Gloria Tray- nor, Rosemary Nyland, Faye Mawhinney, Virginia Mans- field, and Marilyn Fabry. QUILL AND SCROLL Quill and Scroll, the International Honorary Society for High School Journalists, was organized April 10, 1926, by a group of high school advisers for the purpose of en- couraging and rewarding individual achievement in jour- nalism and allied fields. The society takes an active part in raising standards in its field and in directing the course of high school jour- nalism. It functions to serve the individual staff member by recognizing and rewarding his particular talent and ability. Members of Quill and Scroll must be chosen from the students enrolled in high school who at the time of their election meet the following requirements.
