LLOYD WEIDEMANN I sympathize with school, but I’m not in favor of it. MICHEAL WEISS His best he’ll give to any task, and cheerfully does whatever you ask. ALLEN WRCHOTA I know a lot but I just can't think of it. THOMAS ZIMMERMAN I study when I'm in the mood, I'm strictly not a moody guy. LAWRENCE ZINS I take things as they come-easy.

CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1957, sixty eager ami excited Freshmen entered Sauk City High School. Of course, no one will ever forget our initiation! That year we elected Howie Lenerz as President, Billy Breunig as Vice- President, Nancy Sawyer as Secretary, and Sharon Eckstein as Treasurer. Our Student Council represent- atives were Betty Frey and Bernard Uselman. Our Homecoming representatives were Howie Lenerz and Kathy A. Ganser and Joe Miller and Nancy Sawyer. The number of fellow classmates increased to 61 our sophomore year. We started off our year initiating the new Freshmen. We elected Sherry O’Neil as President, Tom Walsh as Vice-President, Harriett Breunig as Treasurer, with Joe Miller as Secretary. For that year our Student Council representatives were Jean Marx and Jim Enders. As our representatives for Homecoming we had Jim Enders and Jean Marx and Gary Sawall and Bernadine Haas. Our biggest thrill came at the end of the year when we ordered our class rings. We started our Junior year with 57 of the former sophomores returning. We elected Jim Enders as President and also King of our Prom, Darlene Johnson as Vice-President, Kathy M. Ganser as Secretary and Russ Loper as Treasurer. Tom Walsh and Judy Haas were our representatives for Student Council. That year our Homecoming float, “Prairie’s in Du Sac” won first. Our representatives for Homecoming were Lyle and Harriett Breunig and Tom Walsh and Sharon Eckstein. Early in the year we started work on our Prom, the theme of which was “Hawaiian Sunset”. The decorations were carried out by a large mural painting of a sunset on one side and another mural of the sea on the other wall. The ceiling was made of fish nets which contained flowers and seaweed. The throne was a huge white orchid. Only 52 students returned for their senior year. This year the class officers were Gary Sawall as President, Marlys Mack as Vice-President, Sherry O’Neil as Secretary, and Gary Barbian and Jim Enders as Treasurers. “Mardi Gras in Dixieland” was the theme for Homecoming this year with King Gary Sawall and Queen Nancy Sawyer reigning over the festivities. This year again our Homecoming float entitled “Alley Oops” won the competition. Our senior representatives on court were Jim Enders and Betty Frey and Joe Miller and Sharon Eckstein. This year for the first time in Sauk’s history the Senior class presented their play on two nights. It was entitled “No More Homework” and was very well received. We are now looking forward to our commencement exercises, senior banquet, and class trip.
