Pete is in Cornell Memo- rial Hospital and is ably attended by Norene Jung and Lillian Beste who are rivals for the position of Head Nurse. Floor Supervisor, Diane Doege, has fainted at the sight of a dangling fingernail and is being carried off to bed at the Helen Corrigan Rest Home by practical nurses, Kay Emmel and Elaine Hansen. There Diane meets Alfred Pederson fa victim of Rudy Beste's drivingj who is eating wonderful food served by hospital chefs Grant Johnson and Joan Loehlein. Richard Orth, ambulance driver, just got a rush call to pick up David Gallup who ran into Clorianne Caspardis new lamp post. The call was turned in by Ted Nierman and Bob Schwartz, local cops. . Nookie Felling, Sylvia Schlotfeldt, Karen Ross and Lailah Rieland are attending the movie fea- turing Wanda Mueller at the Conlin-Hoeschen Cinema. Supporting Wanda in her starring role are Evelyn Bromenshenkel, LaVonne Miller, Irene Unger, Mary Muellner, and Alvina Anderson, with Eugene Lietz and Arthur Johnson. Ralph Borgerding is the ticket taker in the new theater. Audrey Stimson and her accompanist, Lillian Spooner, perform between the main features. Last week Willard Severin, Lorman and Jordan Henry, and Don Messerich went to see Darlene Miller,s baseball team, consisting of Shirley Little, pitcher, Viola Hittle, centerfielderg Lorraine Fritzlar, third basewomang Margaret Upton, first basewornang Mary Jane Moritz, right fielder, La- Verne Rasmusen, short stop. Martha Rierman, as left fielder, caught a beautiful fly and pegged it to Mary Ann Schloegal at home plate. Umpire, Jean Wa1'man, called Bill Mueller, the runner of the boys' team, out by a mile. Orrin Anderson, running on the Democratic ticket has been giving speeches written by Virginia Kaas, while Ronnie Krause, staunch Republican, is reading speeches written by Eileen Kemper and Nadine Eggers. Arlene Ripka and Emily Studanski have opened a Public Library with Eileen Ebensteiner, Betty Tschida, and Helen Damp as chief book dusters. Marvis Gunion checks out books as fast as Lois Pehrson can read them. Patty Kennedy and Bruce Gray spend their evenings playing hide and seek in the stacks. Herbie Peters and Jim Prasch, noted bankers, come in daily to fill their ink pens. Muriel Besser on Plodding Plowhorse, and Julie Rondestvedt on Lag Behind, are both entering the Milky-Way Derby. Jerry Deters is holding the purse while Dale llgen is standing guard. Kathy Arens is having braces put on her teeth at the Crawford Dentistry. The dentist is ably assisted by nurse Diane Nelson. Connie Kettler was seen dashing into Dick Morgan's barber shop for a quick shave. Jerome Moening was already in the chair having his ears lowered. John Aaker is teaching music at Upper Concordia in lower Bugtown. Jack Kettlewell has taken the place of Jerry Lewis in the Martin and Lewis team. Public Health Nurse, Evelyn Berg, and Darlene Orth are being piloted around in their new super rocket by Donna Pangburn.
