Mike Watts, John Brown, Rich Nuzzo, Mark Strangie, Dan Swimm, Steve Fauci, Shawn Hartigan, Matt Maclaughlin Charles Lynch, Dan Monico, Dave Housewearth, Brian Paris, Anthony Guthro. The Saugus High Football team finished a successful season with a 5-4-1 record finishing in 3rd place in the Northeastern Conference. The team was picked to finish in the conference cellar but fought back against all odds to surprise all the so called experts. The team showed much desire and determina- tion all year especially in upset wins over Lynn Classical and Danvers. The team had a five game conference winning streak which has never been done by a Saugus Football team. Saugus co-captains were Mark Strangle and Anthony Guthro. The players would like to thank coaches Mike Ginolfe, Kevin Ward, Mike Bontempo, Pat Peterone, Don Trainor and Dave Soper for all the work and effort and for never giving up on them even when things were not going good. 32
