Iran freed 52 of our American hostages, we witnessed two natural disas- ters, the eruption of AvAt. St. Helen ' s and the earthquake in Italy. The world was shocked by the brutal murder of John Len- non. With the tradgedies we had the triumphs. The Voyager I reaching Saturn and our U.S. hockey team winning the gold medal and America giving a new home to Cuban refugees.
