While you were in junior high school I was your principal; then in 1962, when you entered high school, I moved along with you. It has been my privilege, accordingly, to observe your maturing dur- ing that full span of years that links childhood to young manhood and young womanhood. To me has been afforded the opportunity to witness your develop- ment physically, socially, and mentally, to follow your athletic attainments, to measure with pride your scholastic progress. Uw Now you are graduating. You are abandoning a relatively sheltered and guided existence for that period of life that offers greater independence and heivier responsibilities.
