History Mighty Totem, tell your story, What each image speaks of life; Tell the past which one records here Historic tale of four bright years. Lowest creature hold high the pole Signifying freshman days — New annex wing, all-purpose room, Accelerated science course, Full day of school and staggered lunch, Science fair postponed by fire, Foreign language and first book fairs, And avoidance of senior stares ! Well speaks the next haughty keeper Of some cherished sophomore times. Underclassmen, but one year older, We greeted Mr. Davis and Bid farewell to Mr. Porter. With two-platoon we once again Adjusted to shifting classes, Corridors of teeming masses. Rising proud above these two, the Guardian of the junior past Recalls a nation ' s grief and days Marred by burdens from the fires, Yet lightened by our winter sports And junior prom, Bali-Hai, Donkey basketball, added shares In assemblies and school affairs. Giant of these mighty figures Boasts the height of senior life — The final rallies and Color Day, Triumphant victories in sports, College Boards and applications, The Miracle Worker, Washington, Senior Week with its laughter, tears As graduation closed these years.
