... a place to assemble Because students live in private compounds and villas throughout the city, SAIS-R is the place to meet. This year students chose their friends from an enrollment of 2,536 from 47 nations. The five nations represented most were the United States, 53%; Canada, 14%; Great Britain, 4%; Pakistan, 4%; and Sweden, 3%. The 218 professional staff members came from ten countries.
