'Star Search' shines As a result of a “star search, the sixth annual talent show featured 12 diverse student acts plus excerpts from Teen II by the Concert Choir and an overture and finale by a special Talent Show Band. Acts included vocal, piano, violin, and flute solos; break and tap dances; and a rock band. Even teachers and administrators got into the act. The Band (top) delighted rock lovers with Its rendition of Falling in Love. Mrs. Carpenter (above left) and Mr. Russel (above center) sung advice about gum. Bringing a touch of Broadway. Trotters — no turkeys! Leading off the annual Intermediate School Turkey Trots, the fourth graders ran their race on November 19, 1984. Members from each class ran a relay around the school playground. Winners of this year's fourth grade race were: First, 41, taught by Mrs. Svivus; Second, 4F, Mrs. Austin; Third, a tie between 4M, Mrs. Ciccolella; and 4N, Mrs. Schwartz.
