At left: Diane Jackson replaced Marilyn Bateman (not pictured) as fifth grade music teacher (Mrs. Bateman moved to classroom 60); Me riel Grant took over as Junior High drama instructor. OASIS . . . Like a bedouin pausing at an oasis for refreshment a student's stay at SAIS-R may be just one brief stop in his or her travels. But for that time, the oasis called SAIS-R is home. When students are at home,” they have a sense of belonging. The pictures on these pages are not in the sections in which they belong. Without these people, however, SAIS-R, as we know it, would not be complete. May this remind us that although there are others not pictured in this book, without them all, SAIS-R would not be complete.
