Riyadh Accommodates Students' Interests To rhe surprise of mosr 5AIS-R srudenrs, when they first arrive in Saudi, there ore activities to morch almost any interest o person might hove. One of the mosr common is shopping in rhe souqs. Here, great treasures con be found by the seasoned shopper, providing he or she hos mosrered rhe subtle ort of bargaining - Arab style. There ore souqs of every imoginoble commodity like rugs, gold, antiques, bedouin jewelry, comeros, audio equipment, silks ond women's wear. Lorge well stocked supermarkets ond deportment stores ore o favorite for the less adventurous shopper. Nor ore rhe outdoor types ot o loss for things to do. They hove comping, sond soiling, motocross, nature trips ond sporting leagues of every kind. For the discriminating diner, Riyadh hos restaurants of many exotic cuisines from European ond Oriental to fost food. Many clubs hove formed for people of different interests; square dancing, cooking, dromo, judo, arts ond crofts ond music.
