After practicing with plastic pins and rubber bolls, the fourth, fifth and sixth grade Physical Education Classes were given o chance to prove their skill In a real gome of bowling. Mrs. Drounhordt ond Mrs. Sibley brought their students to the Morriot Khurois Hotel Dowling Center during regulorly scheduled P.E. time. For many it wos o new gome while others seemed to be old pros. Dut for everyone it wos one of the highlights of the yeor. Those students with the highest scores received o ticker for o free gome with their parents of the Morriot Dowling Center. WITH A LITTLE right ond left body english. Howard Laughron cooxes the boll along for o satisfying strike. Above: GETTING THE PARTY storted. Ted Etllnger ond Lourle Antoblin do some foncy footwork in the spotlight. Teen was oiso performed two nights for the community. WITH A HEAVY HEART Susan Mistier sings It's All Right to Cry . Theroso Ellis wos the lead In cost Two. Sung by, performed for ond oil obour reenogers, rhe rock musical Teen wos onorher big hit lost spring. Directed by Mrs. Elkins, the Concert Choir rehearsed for six weeks for rhe Moy performance. The musical revolved oround characters experiencing some of rhe emotional ups ond downs of odolescents such os love ond insecurity. Many solos were performed including Suson Misrler’s rendition of It's All Right to Cry . The principol characters were double cost. Music for the show wos prerecorded so performers hod to be right on cue with dialogue, singing ond choreography.

The competition wos intense during lost Spring's Track ond Field Doy. Girls generally outdid the boys in running events such os the 60 m, 100 m ond the 600 m Dosh. In throwing events like sofrboll ond discus the boys scored significontly higher thon the girls. At the High Jump, Hurdles ond Running Long Jump the scores were extremely close. Orgonlzed by Mrs. Morionne Sibley, the doy went very well os foculty members helped to officiate in the many events. Special owords were given our to oil the winners that afternoon. Although sixth graders domlnored the 1982 Elementary Field Doy, the going will be o little rougher os they become port of the junior high in the 1983 season. PROPER LONG JUMP technique te demonstrated by Julie Nlcholos os dossmotes look on. Toe Yoon hod the best long Jump of the doy of 4.06 meters. FANS CAN HARDLY contoln themselves during on exciting moment In the Hurdle event. Sixth groders hod to leap six hurdles set ot three the length of o basketball court. 19
