Gustavo San Roman comes lroni Nlonte- viclco, Uruguay, the smallest country in South America. He will he here for six months as an exchange student. One of his goals while in America. is to become familiar with our way ol' life, our cul- ture and customs. He hopes that, through him- self, we can learn of his country. Of the edu- cational system here, Gus feels that school is easy, and he admires the material aides used in teaching a subject. Another exchange student is lVlaria Cevallos. She comes from Quito, Ecuador, where she was horn eighteen years ago. This is her first year of studying English. liater, she would like to go lo college to further her lan- guage studies. lllaria has found America to he interesting and exciting. She enjoys travelingg unlike in South America where out of country visits are rare. From Oslo, Norway comes lvar Johansen. Because ofhis interest in the Space Program, he applied to stay in Florida, where he will live for a year. He has found the American way ol' life to be full of conveniences.
