A Season For Change It's hard to measure the real significance of a season in just scores or statistics, you have to consider the players to determine a real winning team. This was how sr. quarterback Jim Rollins summed up this year's football season. And one could call it a successful season. All the games played this season were fine examples of competition and sportsmanship. Boasting for an improvement in this year's 2-6 finish are a group of fine underclassmen. This was the first year under head coach Dennis Meehan and his assistant, John Cordova. Overall, the squad had a total offense of 897 yards with 677 of that coming on the ground. Leading the ground at- tack was sr. Gregg Fillpot whose 336 yards earned him a 3. 2 yard per carry average. Other leading runners were jr. 's Wayne Evans and Scott Young. Coupling for the aerial attack was Jim Rollins and Jim Lozar who accounted for 156 yards on 10 receptions. Dave DuBois saw 11 completions for 166 yards and 32% average.
