MRS. BELTZ Mrs. Beltz has completed her second year as secretary of Satanta Schools. With cheerful efficiency she has performed her duties of keeping books, typing letters and reports, and various other secretarial duties. MRS. BOWEN, MRS. McGUIRE, MRS. SHEPARD Mrs. Bowen, Mrs. McGuire, and Mrs. Shepard have been responsible for planning and pre- paring balanced meals for the students and faculty each day this year. Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. McGuire completed their first year at Satanta High; and Mrs. Shepard completed ten and a half years. MR. UNGER and MR. SHIELDS Mr. Unger and Mr. Shields are the custodians at Satanta High School. Their duties include keeping the building clean, watering and mowing the lawn, caring for the trees, shrubs, and other plants, and various other jobs in keeping the grounds neat. Mr. Unger completed his fourteenth year, and Mr. Shields completed his third.

TOP LEFT: MRS. DANA HADDICAN: Mrs. Haddican at- tended college at Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she received a B. A. in En- glish. She did graduate work at the University of Oklahoma, and Fort Hays State College. She now teaches English II, IV, and sponsors the Pep Club. This is Mrs. Haddican's seventeenth year at Satanta High. She and her husband, William, have two children, Mary Pat, a senior, and Ramey, a sophomore. Mrs. Haddican enjoys reading, knitting, sewing, and watching basketball and baseball games. CENTER: MR. JERRY STONE: Mr. Stone graduated from Wichita State University where he received his B. M. E. in Music. He has done graduate work at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, and is now doing graduate work at Wichita State. Mr. Stone taught in Cimarron before he moved to Satanta where he is completing his second year. He and his wife, Jill, have a son, Joey, who is two years old, and a daughter, Jennifer, who was born recently. Mr. Stone's hobbies include hunting, fishing, and sports of al- most any kind. BOTTOM LEFT: MR. DON BARR: Mr. Barr has moved to Satanta from Cimarron. He and his wife, Laurita, have four children, Donnie Jr. , 12; Candace, 9; Melody, 7; and Tammi, 5. Mr. Barr previously owned his own repair shop at Ingalls, and now he teaches Auto Mechanics at Satanta. BOTTOM RIGHT: MRS. ELIZABETH McCOOL: Mrs. McCool graduated from Bethel College at North Newton, Kansas, where she received a B. A. degree. She did graduate work at Kansas State College at Emporia, Wichita State University, Kansas State University, and the University of Colorado. Mrs. McCool teaches English I, and is the Librarian. She and her husband Frank moved from Pratt. Her hobbies in- clude collecting cookbooks, traveling, and she is a rock- hound.

TOP LEFT: MRS. RUBY NILES: Mrs. Niles attended college at Southwestern State, Oklahoma State, and Panhandle ASM, all in Oklahoma. She has taught in Oklahoma and at one time she was a Home Economics agent. This is her first year at S. H. S. where she teaches Home Ec. I-IV, and sponsors the Kayettes. She and her husband Carl have four children and a foster son who has lived with them for ten years. Her hobby is Boys and Girls. Besides working with them, she enjoys reading and sewing. CENTER: MR. EDWARD GUSTAVSON: Mr. Gustavson grad- uated from Fort Hays State College and has done graduate work at Fort Hays, K-State, and K.U. He has previously taught in Phillipsburg, and Lyons, Kansas. At S. H. S. he teaches English I and III, Advanced Writing, and his other duties include, assistant football and freshman basketball coach. He and his wife Denise have five children, Evan, Audrey, Amanda, Amy, and April. Mr. Gustavson enjoys archery, hunting, and fishing. BOTTOM LEFT: MR. HERSHEL LAWSON: Mr. Lawson re- ceived his A. B. from Panhandle ASM at Goodwell, Okla- homa. He has done graduate work at various colleges. This is his fourth year of teaching Speech and Debate. He also helps sponsor the Senior Class, and he directs the Junior and Senior plays. Mr. Lawson and his wife Janet have one son John. He enjoys bowling, hunting, and viewing athletic events. BOTTOM RIGHT: MR. REMEL BLUNDELL: Mr. Blundell has attended various colleges throughout Kansas. He has taught for many years besides serving as a coach and prin- cipal in other localities. This is his third year at Satanta. He teaches P. E. and Health. Also, he sponsors the Let- termen's Club, and coaches football, track, and he assists with basketball. Mr. Blundell and his wife Electa have five children, Kay, Betty, Max, JoAnne, and Barbara.
