“Time waits for no man. Yes, ten months have passed since we first began our journey Into the realm of the student educator. Each day has overflowed with a variety of activities, new experiences, and responsibilities. With the hope that this Yearbook may help you recall the happy friendships you formed and experiences you enjoyed during the past year, we give you, In part, a story of the school year 1961-62 at the Saskatchewan Teachers ' College, Regina. I wish to thank the members of the Yearbook Directorate, our faculty advisors — Mr. Gnome, Mr. Stephenson, and Dr. Buck, and those who have helped both directly and Indirectly In the compil¬ ing of this Yearbook; those without whose help and co-operation this publication would have been Impossible. It seems only yesterday we entered these halls of learning; today we stand at the threshold of a new and challenging experience as we join the ranks of the oldest and noblest profession. Our future success or failure depends on how well we have absorbed the standards of character and work which this college has set before us. Longfellow offered us a wonderful piece of advice when he wrote: “Look not mournfully to the past — it comes not back again; wisely Improve the present-- It Is thine; go forth to meet the shadowy future without fear, and with a manly heart. We were fortunate to be able to send three delegates to the Western Canada Student Teachers ' Conference and one to the S.T.F. Convention, fates of Christmas cards and sale of rings were organized and executed by the Council.
