The student council is the most important organization in the school. VVe are a member of the state organization and the national organization of student councils. Three delegates- Carrol Patterson, Duane Newman, and Billy Thorne-were sent to the state meeting, which was held in the fall. This year the student council had a seasonal ticket for the National Assemblies. They painted and cleaned the student-council room and put all of the past senior-class pictures in the room. They are also in charge of having an assembly each week, of raising and lowering the flag at the beginning and end of the week, of electing the Homecoming Queen, and of taking charge of problems which arise concerning school affairs. The student council meets every Monday and the periods are alternated each week. Mr. T. E. Glim is the sponsor of student council.
