Foreword Dedication To you. Miss Annie Hendricks, we. the Senior Class of 1962, dedicate the Sardonian. We are deeply Indebted to you for giving your time so generously when we needed help with our problems. We sincerely thank you. Miss Hendricks, for your patience, undemanding, guidance and support. Principal To you, the students of Sardis High School, in this year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Sixty-two, I direct these thoughts. You are indeed a fortunate group. As you read this, please pause and count your many blessings. First, be thankful for the privilege of living in a country where you are free to express your thoughts as you see them, either orally or written. You are free to read newspapers that are non-censored, free to enjoy life as it should be, and when you grow up you are free to choose the profession that you feel is best suited for you. It is a rare privilege to vote your convictions on any issue without someone telling you how to mark the ballot. You should always be humble and thankful that you live in a country that is of this nature, and free to worship in the church of your choice and the denomination of your choice. Always remember your duty as a free citizen of the world and perform that duty as you should. Most of all. remember the one responsible for all of this is a power greater than all of us and always serve Him and give thanks to the Almighty every day for this rare privilege. a c Outy t MRS.
