These little drops of rain were Helen, Marie, Brenda, Leonard, Howard, Barbara, Mozell, Ernest, and Bobby Smith. The mist increased as we moved into Mrs. Norris' second grade room. We were showered with more raindrops; some of whom didn't remain with us; as the third year came, there came with a little raindrop, Janet Lee, that has remained with us through- out the years. As the years of the fourth and fifth grade went by the little raindrops that came our way left us to join another shower of rain elsewhere. As we entered the sixth grade with Mrs. Norris again as rainmaster we were very happy to welcome into our happy mist, four more little raindrops who called themselves Anita, Edith, Cecil, and Willie J. When the first days of Junior High School came we gave a hearty welcome to many more raindrops from our neighboring communities of Whitesboro and Carlisle. We were very happy through the next three years although some of the raindrops that joined us were not permanent. During the years of the eighth, ninth, and tenth grades the raindrops that were with us again went separate ways. When we entered Mr. Campbell's eleventh grade room we were joined by Jo Ann Dale and later by Harold Scott who brought laughter and sunshine into our mist. As we entered the twelfth grade the showers stopped and all the raindrops that have fallen into our mist have formed a beautiful rainbow that shines brightly from Mrs. Hall's Senior Class room. As we come to the end of our high school career, we look back on the years that we have spent at Sardis High School with a remembrance that we will cherish through- out the years to come. We hope that the Seniors who follow us will have as much or more enjoyment and pleasure than we have had. --Brenda Ross CLASS WILL % I. There’s laughter in each window sill And walls so snowy white. There’s joy and peace within these walls; For, as in all the nation. The boys and girls work very hard To get an education. Now let's go down to the Senior Class, The leader of them all. They have a great many tasks to perform. Some may be large or small. Just open the door and step right in. But before you meet them all. The sweet young lady behind the desk? Of course, she's Mrs. Hall. There's Anita Brewster and Billy Brock, The first ones on the list. And if you haven't met those two You don't know what you've missed. Burmer Daniel knows her math, Jo Ann Dale, her typing, Roba Dorsett does her work And you never hear her griping. Mozell Elkins gets around. Just like Shelba Gaskin. Syble Haygood gets a boy friend Simply for the asking. Ernest Hill has the zeal To own a brand new car. Harmel Hubbard has more sense Than he gets credit for. Dale and Helen are the ones Who have the same last name: Janet Lee would like to see Them in the hall of fame. Edith Martin and Marie Mayo Are sure to make a whirl. But Wayne Murdock can beat the clock At catching any girl. Howard Quarles, as we all know, Is pretty fond of books; But Brenda Ross and Harold Scott Try to pass on looks. Willie Lacks is a track team star. And Bobby Smith a guard; But if they beat Barbara in her books They'll have to work real hard. Verna Faye and Della Ann are Two that are sure successes. For with glasses on their noses They both look like professors. Bobby Y arbrough is very smart. And so is Bobby Whiteside; But when it comes to entertaining girls, They'll take them for a ride. Cecil is a lazy boy, A lazy boy is he. But when it comes to Algebra, A brighter boy is he. Leonard Whitt, the President, Is brave and strong and bold; But when it comes to presidents They're always last on roll.
