Chemistry, English, democracy, typing- Don’t be surprised if you hear him griping. But he’s a swell guy, we all must say, Marvis will always study, but he just won’t play. She’s little, she’s neat, and oh! so sweet! For an all-around gal, she can’t be beat. She really works hard, and makes all A’s- Surely you guessed-it’s Syble Mayes. With a smile and a laugh for everyone You can bet your life he has his fun. He’s a swell guy you all should know. I’m sure you recognized Bobby Joe. William Hamby, better known as Bill Lives over close to Whistle Hill. He plays ball, and is a very good sport, But he keeps the girls all out of sort. Robert Smith has leisure time, And never gets a minute behind. If he’s still milking when he should be at school, He sits there reciting the Golden Rule. A maiden with mishcief in her eye- But never will you hear her sigh. She laughs all day and half the night- Virginia Ruth surely is a sight! Handy as a woman, funny as a clown- You say nothing to make her frown. When it comes to shorthand she’s a mess. Should I say Ruth Daniel, or could you guess? In study, Dorothy Pitchford lags. But precious gifts bear no price tags. 'She’s full of mischief, full of fun. And very well like by everyone. Every month has some attraction, and Each new day brings on some action. One month brings brides, lets hope not soon- For Sardis wants to keep her June. 11

In every crowd he makes a “hit Because he has that certain “it. That’s C. L.-you all should know- Audrey does! 'cause he’s her beau! Elise and Audrey are two cute gals Who for six years have been big pals. They make good grades when they’re in class But on the campus they get around fast. Cheerleader, Senior, now what next? Housekeeping for Doris, I’d suspect! Now, can you picture her doing that? Rolling pin, skillet or baseball bat. We know the time is drawing near, When Dot Whitt makes nursing her career. Come on and make a good one. Dot! Whether you’re nursing Horace or whether you’re not. Since Gene and Lyveral are 'most inseparable, How can we tell which one is preferable? There’s only one difference we can find- One’s usually in front, and the other behind. If you want an actor we have one-- Who is always having fun. However, he didn't create good behaviors- Yep, that’s him it’s Charles Chaviers. Kelley Henderson is next on the list. When he leaves Sardis he’ll sure be missed. He never gets mad, he doesn’t pout! He might be replaced, but I have my doubts. 10

Marion carries herself in a queenly way, But finds no time for work or play. She likes to sleep, to eat and dream- But for a swell pal, she’s on the beam! Valuable gifts in packages small- So here is the very least bundle of all! She’s very smart, her grades reach a high ebb. A Beta Club member-She's Lila Jack Webb. Nottoo sober, not too gay But a good pal in every way With a willing heart, hands, and mind, People like Avis are hard to find. Here’re two fellows hard to do without; With all the girls they take it time about. When they aren’t present, there’s not much fun- They’re Guy Allen and Ottis Nunn. Christine and Hazel are just like one. But they always seem to have their fun. Truer girls could never be found, For they’re just swell from heel to crown. William Carroll is a Senior, too. He’s willing to work! what cha want him to do? He is always friendly! he’s always kind- A better classmate is hard to find. With these brief thoughts of each of you It’s time for me to say, “adieu.” With me you classmates have the spot- You all mean much to the “freckled Dot.
