CLASS POEM A great poet is Edward G, A poet laureate he will be He can write lyrics that will drive you to hysterics And here is evidence for you to see. A pair of nice boys are Bill and Ted Scott Never late for geometry, they are there on the dot They think the word theorem is a form of delirium And when tests come they are usually on the spot Charles Hamby will be a great athlete At basketball he can’t be beat, Hp knows there’s a hole, in the center of the goal. And to see him play is usually a treat. A beautiful girl is Reba Scott Of her we think quite a lot She is often seen, with her boy friend Eugene, And date another boy she says she will not A diligent lad is Dink He’ll do well in the Navy we think He wants a lifeboat, in which to float In case his ship happens to sink. As a comedian John Kirby is a honey, He just naturally looks funny. When he tells his jokes, you can see all the folks. Sit back and laugh at little Johnny. A football player is Jack From the Army he’s just back Tn every game, he attains much fame, Because for sports he has a knack. Curtis Mayo is very gay He thinks life is happier this way He believes a joke or two, when you are blue. Is an investment that will surely pay. A very cute girl is Nell In her studies she does excell. With a sly little blush, she’ll tell you to hush. But she always seems to mean well A nice boy is Dennis E. He’s a hard worker you can plainly see, His only ambition, is to obtain a position. As a tree surgeon, and a good one he’ll be. Marion Brownlee is an expert on the guitar People come to hear him from afar, When he plucks the strings, the music rings, As he plays boogie-woogie, 8 to the bar.
