Though hampered by the loss of many veterans, the Blue and White Streaks, under the excellent coaching of Hutchin Tibbetts, displayed a vast amount of skill and deter- mination throughout the '55 season, outscoring their opponents 109 to 102. We rolled over powerful teams such as Bethlehem Central and our traditional rival, Mechanicville, by scores of 26-6 and 32-12 respectively. We battled to a stalemate with Johnstown, 7-7, and Scotia, 19-19. Our three losses consisted of a close 7-0 defeat at the hands of Glovers- ville, a trouncing by a powerful Glens Falls team, 26-6, and a 25-19 loss to Draper. Wha' Happened! Al- though they lost their opener in a low-scoring tilt, they breezed through the league schedule, piling up scores as high as 97 points in a single game. Their season's scoring average of over 75 points completely ovcrbalanced their opponents' single game average of 56. With a record of 16 wins and 2 losses, they were undefeated in league competition. As this book goes to press, the sectional finals have not been held, but we are confident that the Streaks will give a good account of themselves. 1. it xg ? J X Q, Q ln 3 4 Q ? 1 1 1? Easy catch! 5' The Blue Streaks of the diamond completed their 1955 season with two crowns, the Western Division and the City League championship. Aided by excellent pitching and tremendous hit- ting, the Streaks piled up ten wins to three losses. Two shut-outs and two no-hitters were among the better per- formances of the season. Although the Blue and White Streaks were defeated by a powerful Lansingburg team, 8-0, they displayed championship form on and off the diamond. This was the third championship for the Streaks in five years. tae On deck ! Smack it a mile! Slide! Warmup! in , Flying saucers! ff Up, up, and away! A Q: gf. 1955 TRACK TEAM Front row: C. Mead, P.
