She was a graduation usher and a member of several dance committees. JOHN HOMIAK Conscientious Hodiak has been a valued mem- ber ot the baseball team for four years, He has played JV basketball and this year played Varsity. A two-year member of BVC, sports, for John, are tops. Q 125' orchestra and band. He served as quartermaster and as drum maior of the marching band. Besides origia nating the Charles Trio, he has kept busy with three years of Stage Crew. EDWARD HOTALING Ed was co-editor of the ORATOGA, played home room basketball, was president of Cercle Fran- cais and treasurer of Honor Society in his senior year. He was Latin Club vice president as a soph- omore. Ed is full of surprises and thinks French and pork chops are tops. ffffgtkf ,434 fp Z9 DoLoRes HUNT Liking sports, Dee has gone on volleyball, softball and basketball play days. She has been an ORATOGA typist, graduation usher, and a mem- ber ot Art Club. When not working as a telephone operator, Dee enioys swimming and dancing. BREWSTER HYDON A good sport, Bruce was a two-year member of chorus, and had a main part in Good News. He has been scorekeeper for home room basketball games and supports all school contests. BETTINA A. HALL T has been on the RECORDER ,Editorial Staff, feature editor of ORATOGA, French Club secretary, and Varsity cheerleading co-captain. A member of Honor Society, she acted in Mr. MacGregor's plays and in Good News, was home room representa- tive, sophomore secretary-treasurer and many times a committee member. She is our idea of perpetual motion. BEECHER HAMMOND Beech has played four years of baseball, and noon hours he played basketball and softball. He first acted in the Historical Play and later in the Senior Play. He was a BVC member for a year. l-5 THEODORE HARRINGTON A member of Honor Society, unhurried Ted was in Photo Club, and played noon hour and home room basketball this past year. Ted likes Rifle Club, hunting and fishing and though he seems reserved, country music really sends him, JOAN HARTMAN Joanie likes swimming, movies, semi-classical music and fried chicken. She tried bowling for a year, and has regularly followed other sports, espe- cially basketball. S'-'R L we Y? Q-dv NP- HELEN HATCH They call her Penny because she is usually shin- ing and happy. She has worked on ORATOGA Business Staff and considers Italian food something special with pizza and spaghetti and meatballs her favorites. She also likes dancing. DOLPH HINTZE Dolph likes contests, chess, pinochle and all kinds of sports. He enjoys open forums and was in French Club for a year, and also representedbhis home room in basketball. Knowing Dolph is a stimulating ex- perience.

LESLIE JOHNSON Les's time has been taken up by Varsity foot- ball, track, wrestling, and as veep of Ski Club, He represented SHS at Boys' State in '54. Decora- tion committees have used his artistic talents. He was two years a member of BVC and acted as secretary. ARNOLD JONES Jonesy is interested in music, track, and bas- ketball. He has written some music, played in band and orchestra, loves to listen to iazz and play the saxophone. He has been a track man for four years and likes boxing, swimming, pool, fishing and traveling. to HH. JD., her friends. Qs' HARRY J. KIT H.J. was an Honor Society member in his senior year and also ioined the editorial staff of the RECORDER. He has been a foureyear member of Photo Club, has played JV baseball, home room basketball and wrestled. Country music appeals - KATHERINE KONDENAR One of the 203 Lunchroom Gang, Kathy enioys horses, hillbilly songs, square dancing and roller skating, and has participated in noon hour volleyball, basketball and archery. She ushered for the Senior Play, was a member of ORATOGA Ecl- itorial Staff and belonged to Photo Club. Her friendly manner has made her well-liked by all in-P HAROLD LABATT Batts has played three years of Varsity foot- ball. Baseball rates second, while Ski Club, wrestling and home room basketball round out his sports ac- tivities. Fun-loving Batts has played in band for two years and is partial to the trumpet. THOMAS J. LALLY One of our prominent athletes, Lal has played four years of baseball, three years of basketball and taken part in BVC. A member of French Club, in his lunior year he was also class treasurer. Base- ball, however, is his favorite diversion.
