BERNARD GRoss When one thinks of nice clothes, Bernie auto- matically pops into mind. He belonged to Ski Club, was a two-year track man, and was outstanding In diving and swimming. A onevyear member of French Club, Bernie is always ready with a ioke or a smile. BENJAMIN F. GURTLER Ben likes cars and people who laugh. One of Mr. Mac's boys for three years, he showed his ingenuity on Stage Crew, and as a member of the auto mechanics gang. Ben enioys being com- fortable. PAUL M. GRIFFIN Besides having a part in Headed for Eden, Griff worked on the play ticket committee. He has played home room and noon hour basketball, was JV manager, and member of French Club, and RECORDER Business Staff. He likes hunting and popular music but Bermudas with knobby knees don't go over too well with him. JERRY GROLLEY Mighty-mite Jerry has sparked four years of varsity basketball and baseball. His schoolmates will remember him not only for his athletic skill, but also as a terrific drummer in the Charles Trio at school dances. NANCY HELEN GRANDE Magnetic Nanc has been JV captain and Var- sity co-captain during her three years as cheerleader. Twice a class officer, she was business manager of the RECORDER. A member of both the basketball and bowling teams, she appeared in the Christmas Play of '53 and Senior Play of '5d. EDWARD GREEN This burly athlete played football in '53, was co-captain in '54 and wrestled for three years. He was president of sophomore class, and both presi- dent and vice president of BVC. His favorite pas- times are hunting, swimming and bull-sessions. 7

RUTH FARRELL Flame is a most versatile girl. In sports she has been manager, captain, player and sports writ- er for the ORATOGA. She has been on many com- mittees, ORATOGA Business Staff, secretary of Stu- dent Council, and a chorus member. She's crazy about italian food but doesn't like to be kept wait- ing. JOSEPH PAUL FASO Hardroll is known for his light blue Cadillac. He played baseball for three years on the varsity squad. He also played JV and home room basket- ball. She has been Art Editor of the RECORDER, was in French Club, Photo Club, and Art Club. Senior Play and dance committees have kept her busy. She likes water skiing, swimming and fast boats but doesn't like ANN JEAN FULLER Q Annie is always associated with food. She was chairman of the '54 Prom and '54 Football Hop re- freshment committees. She has been in chorus and participated in Sectional All-State. Bowling and softball are Annie's chief interests R, ,G-V., in sports. I t f x I' L I J ALLAN GARDNER AI, an ardent follower of school sports, was co-editor of sports on the ORATOGA. An avid fan of home room and noon hour Basketball, he played JV Baseball for one year. In his Senior year he was tapped for membership in the National Honor So- ciety. JOAN MARIE GARITZ Joanie likes western music, dancing and popu- lar songs. Volleyball, swimming and skating are her favorite sports. A transfer from St. Peter's, she has been a member of chorus and Girls' Glee Club.

BETTINA A. HALL T has been on the RECORDER ,Editorial Staff, feature editor of ORATOGA, French Club secretary, and Varsity cheerleading co-captain. A member of Honor Society, she acted in Mr. MacGregor's plays and in Good News, was home room representa- tive, sophomore secretary-treasurer and many times a committee member. She is our idea of perpetual motion. BEECHER HAMMOND Beech has played four years of baseball, and noon hours he played basketball and softball. He first acted in the Historical Play and later in the Senior Play. He was a BVC member for a year. l-5 THEODORE HARRINGTON A member of Honor Society, unhurried Ted was in Photo Club, and played noon hour and home room basketball this past year. Ted likes Rifle Club, hunting and fishing and though he seems reserved, country music really sends him, JOAN HARTMAN Joanie likes swimming, movies, semi-classical music and fried chicken. She tried bowling for a year, and has regularly followed other sports, espe- cially basketball. S'-'R L we Y? Q-dv NP- HELEN HATCH They call her Penny because she is usually shin- ing and happy. She has worked on ORATOGA Business Staff and considers Italian food something special with pizza and spaghetti and meatballs her favorites. She also likes dancing. DOLPH HINTZE Dolph likes contests, chess, pinochle and all kinds of sports. He enjoys open forums and was in French Club for a year, and also representedbhis home room in basketball. Knowing Dolph is a stimulating ex- perience.
