Karathon-Gasoline-Lubrlcants Lawrence (Dutch) Whltesel Phone Winchester 23191 Compliments of Hub City Flnenc-3 Corporation Union City, Indiana da$5 On September 3, 1943, seventeen eager little first graders found their way into Room 1 and demanded an education under the guidance of Mrs. Mamie Fields. They were Delbert Cortner, Marilyn Dean, Patty Fenimore, Marvin Fields, Kay Girton, Paul Jackson, Jeanette Mote, Loren Powers, Judy Pratt, George Rickert, Beverly Rheinhart, Larry Rheinhart, Mary Roberts, Mary Warstier, Jean Whiteman, Conchita Herriford, and David Kessler. We continued our second year under Mrs. Fields losing Patty Fenimore, Paul Jackson, Mary Roberts, and Conchita Herriford. We gained Tommy Johnson, Norma Keihl, and Wilda During our third year we welcomed Arta Barron, Ruth Clark, Jesse Clevenger, Ronald Hummel, Kenneth Jessup, James Pyles, Margaret Rossner, and Elsie Siberry. We lost Marilyn Dean and Jeanette Mote. The fourth year, brought us Mary Frogge and Wanda Tucker. We lost Jesse Clevenger, George Rickert, and Elsie Siberry. We entered the fifth grade under the guidance of Mrs. Althea Witsche losing Mary Frogge and Wanda Tucker. We continued our sixth year under Mrs. Witsche gaining Judy Bond, Bill Cook, Richard Cook, Donald Coy, and William Malay, and losing James Pyles. The fall of 1949 found us settled in the south row of seats in the assembly—we were now in Junior High. We lost Judy Bond during our first year in Junior High. Harold May, Robert May, Eugene Cortney, and George Landis entered our group during the eighth grade. As green freshman we entered our first year in high school. When school convened we welcomed Charles Eberwein and missed Harold May. Between our freshman year and our senior year, Donald Wallace, Virginia Watkins, and Joan Hoffman Joined us and Beverly Rheinhart, Larry Rheinhart, Arta Barron, Richard Cook, and Ronald Hummel left us. Seven of us have managed to endure through all the 12 grades in SHS. We are Delbert Cortner, Marvin Fields, Kay Girton, David Kessler, Loren Powers, Judy Pratt, and Mary Warstier. Bentley. We lost Joan To a real nice guy Who graduated From Jackson High. Jesse is the next in line So now we '11 turn to him To figure out this fellow Has got us on a limb. Orneriness is his middle name But still he’s Nancy's pick. 1 '11 bet you guessed who he is Why naturally it's Dick. Next cores Rita! On this you can rely E en though she does get mad. She wouldn't hurt a fly. Farm Bureau Grinding, Feed, Coal, Fertilizer phone Saratoga 2361 Next in line Is little Phyl. When you get to know her. She' p. quite a pill. Then there is Glen Who made it clear He likes a girl Who likes to cheer. Here is Glen Who likes to fool; He doesn't get his lessons When he's in school. Then there's Eugene Whom everybody likes. Even though he uses just One finger when he types. Then we have Gene, Our basketball star. With a girl from Jefferson, He1« going far. The girl in the junior class, Naomi, is a well liked lass. The future will tell If she does her lessons well. Jack Spille lc on down the line- Flrst, when it cores to looks. He always has hi? mind on girls, And never on his books. Pratt-RIckert Imolerent Co.
