A. S. B. sponsors new activities .vw A- --m-- ,A-up 4...7' Student Council started off on a good foot with a week long leader- ship conference in June prior to the school year. All class officers, A. S. B. officers, comissioners, and class representatives met to plan the school calendar for the upcoming year. Enthusiasm was very strong throughout the year with many stu- dents getting involved in student body activities. Many new ideas came up this year including revising the old constitu- tion, new successful fundraisers, and a muscular dystrophy dance-a- thon. The A. S. B. officers spend more time than what meets the eye work- ing on student body activities. More than once an A. S. B. officer can be 'E' -Wi' A 1 YQ 371 . . W, seen at school working hours after the rest of the students have gone home. And many week-ends were spent souly on student body activi- ties. The Student Council also had a lot of teacher support backing their ac- tivities. Dean Karen Perry and Dean Donald Boysen were always around to help out on all activities. Meetings for Student Council were held every Wednesday morning dur- ing activity a period. While the rest of the student body was sleeping in, the members of the student council were discussing matters effecting the school. All Student Council meetings were always open to the public, so that anyone could come in and discuss items concerning Sara- toga High. b. 36
