Art has a building year The art department at Saratoga High School offers many varied courses of study including fiber art, ceramics, jewelry, leather, and two dimensional art. This year due to increased interest in two dimensional art, the department was able to add another class in drawing and painting. Another new course offering this year was Mrs. Bev Anshen Leather, Fiber Art Jerry Boncyk Jewelry Anshens art appreciation class which deals with the history of art and its effects upon western civili- zation. The class was also able to take a rare field trip to the Stanford Art Museum. The are department also welcomed the building of a new office and store room for supplies during the fall semester. G Mr. Pettis, the department chair- Richard Daily Ceramics Scott Downs Two dimensional Art 98 man, expressed an attitude of joy over the years events. The addi- tions of our new office and store- room makes things much easier and has really given us a lift.
