Deadlines peril Talisman staff I really didn't understand what a responsibility I had as editor un- til that first deadline. The first day in class when I presented my plans and ideas for the Talisman to the yearbook staff. I was excited and anticipated the best book Saratoga High had ever seen. All I needed was a motivated staff and a lot of patience. I found out soon enough that my patience was limited when it came to teaching how to do layouts, proportion pictures and type copy. And I guess many on the staff didn't like me too much, especially just before a deadline when l'd constantly be on their backs for pages due. As you flip through your book, glance at the pictures and skim the copy. I hope you'll think about how much work went into putting the yearbook together. Adrienne Cordova Cmy co-editorj and I worked hours and hours on these pages, worrying and praying that they would be good and you would like them. The yearbook staff was the best l've seen in years and l've been on the staff since freshmen year. They were cooperative and did their best. And I never could have made it without Adrienne who did all the worrying enough for the both of us! -Cheryl Lloyd This Page Upper Left: photographers, John Kent, Reuben Viva, Craig Fulgham, Ernie Paccioni. Senior wrestlers provide leadership The Falcon wrestling team was a very young team this season. The majority of the wrestlers were under- classmen and both the varsity and junior varsity coaches were new to Saratoga High. Five seniors, Joe Milazzo, Andy Morocco, Greg La- hann, Brad Davis and Travis McNulty, provided lead- ership and help to the younger members of the squad. The team laid the groundwork for the future. The junior varsity had a good season and most of these wrestlers will return as members of the varsity of '78. -Bill Drennan I personally think wrestling is a very-well, a gross sport-to put it bluntly. As I was getting my daily Zemi, I could see through the door leading into the small gym where the wrestling team were practicing their skills. I somehow recognized a couple of my friends and started to watch them. What a horrible, rough sport I thought. Exhausted, but looking satisfied after a well-won wrestle, Cy Tabari, Roger Prince and Scott Nielson all came over to have a sip of my Zemi, I told them what I thought of their sport and they quickly told me that I was com- pletely wrong. It's a sport of skill, they told me. While you're wrestling, you have that guy's life in your hands- one little tug and that could be it. After that comment, I decided l'd better not argue with them. - S.B.I. Opposite Page: Varsity: Row Two, Coach Bill Drennan, V.Milazzo, J.Milazzo, T.McNulty, R.
