I Falcons welcome foreign students If you ask a European what definition he would use about the American, the answer would probably be: jeans, coke, and bubblegum. I must admit that my own picture was not far from that. That was before l came. After getting detention for chewing bubble gum and meeting marsmen Cfootball playersj, I must admit that my illusion broke. American teachers may not like bubblegum, but Americans are certainly much more than jeans, coke, and bubblegum. Never have I seen such a spirit as at Saratoga. First of all, for the sports. So many people show up for the games Cfootball, volleyball, etc.D that Saratoga's op- ponent CI feel sorry for themj looks like the Swine Flu shot has kept them all home in bed. I also like the spirit that lets people dress up for Nerd Day without being an outcast. That's a good spirit to have. The most important spirit, though, is the way Saratogans wel- come new people in the school. It shows that the Fal- cons care for each other. Together we ARE Saratoga. -Helle Andersen
