Successful year reflects junior involvement My junior year has been really exciting!! l've enjoyed being a class officer, and never before have I been so into school. I dig it. Overall, my junior year has been the very best. -Bonnie Bridges Junior Secretary My junior year has been a fun, exciting time which I shall never forget. My teachers and friends as well as more involvement in school have made this year much more enjoyable for me. Attending early student council meetings, counting money for the CSF dance and other activities have made my junior year quite rewarding. I look forward to my senior year with great expectations! -Susie Wong Junior This year's junior class has been very successful mainly because of one reason, more junior involvement than in previous years. The junior class officers started off the year's activities as soon as school opened, rather than waiting a couple months, which was another great factor in the success of the class. Early in the year the Big 11 held their first sock-hop dance with the band Hush. There was a numerous amount of student participation in decorating, making refreshments, and selling tickets. A few appointed juniors judged socks and the winners were awarded prizes. Overall, the class of '78 participated in many various activities this year such as, the Halloween pumpkin carving contest, T-shirt sales, and candy cane presents, but one of the activities in which the juniors had a really fun time and proved to the whole student body their unity was dur- ing Spirit week. During that week we made a prize-winning float de- picting the stars of the 1920's. Many juniors helped in the making of the costumes and the float itself. One morning during this week the juniors arose bright and early at 4:00 a.m. to decorate the school in fashions of the 192O's. As the Spirit week came to a closing, the junior class received the first place trophy for the most spirited class.
