Classes, teachers, and work. That's what makes up academics. It is the part of the school that causes par- ents, counselors, colleges, and stu- dents many headaches. Classes also offer a mixing and meeting place, a planning center and educational environment. The perfect educational environ- ment has slightly decreased in the past few years. Teachers and stu- dents sense that classes are over- loaded. This means that certain cur- riculum have had to be altered, made more formal, general and mass oriented. Students receive less in- dividual attention. With it all, though, we seem to be adjusting and academic achievement levels have not dropped. Our academic curriculum offers a wide variety of classes to choose from. It is mostly geared for the col- lege-prep student, offering analytics, physics, and English. There are classes available for the career ori- Seniors ented, such as business machines, and work experience. And of course there are those elective classes which offer a relief from the strain of gfm :?, etc. .. Whatever a student emphasizes, all academic curricular helps each student prepare for independance in the future.
