Business, Special Education T ping helps students schoolwork Beautiful day, beautiful day. -Mr. Don Baroni I have leamed so much from the business classes that I believe I'll be able to get a job without any further training. I've already had the opportunity of having a typing job for the summer and I have seen what it'll be like to work in an executive office. Taking business courses has helped me and I think they could benefit other students. But, I guess not everyone enjoys the business classes as much as I have. I remember one time in typing when Mrs. Scheible told two boys to leave the room and come back when they could act like men. They were gone for a whole weekfl -Teresa Gutzman The use of a typewriter is the most common way of written com- munication in our society where clarity is needed. It's knowledge helps students in their school work as they progress through high school and is very useful at the college level. -Mr. George Potoc

Industrial Arts, Music Music activities are extremely rewarding It's important to involve students in activities which are enjoyable and reward- ing. A musical play provides a great many students this opportunity. It is atime to learn new skills or develop old onesg to learn about working together towards a specific goalg to meet and share friendship with many new people. And ultimately, a musical drama shares a great deal of warmth and light- heartedness with an audience too often nearly overwhelmed and light-heartedness with an audience too often nearly over- whelmed by everyday Problems. f-Mr. Paul Page The main reason Ijoined band was be- cause of the good inter-band social life. There is an emmense feeling of pride and unity among the majority of the members, Band members are all close to each other and many good friendships have resulted from it. During the last four years, I can look back at some of my personal disasters, such as breaking my drum head in front of a parade judging stand, dropping and breaking my sticks during performances, and turning a cymbol inside out when I accidently stepped on it. But the great friendships I have made and the school and band spirit that I have been involved with, make up more than double for those few embarassing momentsfl -Bob Cook One major difference between man and other animals is that he is able to create beauty and express emotion through art. Music is important because it allows the student to develop an aesthetic sensitivity and gives him a medium for emotional ex- ... f 4 1,-, 5 .t.. 1-iw .-. ' - f- .1-'swf ' Q krykk . ' ' P' -. KAA. I feel that the experiences which Saratoga High School students have in stud- ying music will develop in them a love and appreciation for music which will last them their whole life. -Mr, Craig Northrop Woodshop has never gotten the recogni- tion it deserves. Almost every student who enters a project in the county fair each year, wins a blue ribbon. In the state fair last year, we won first and second place in the junior, senior catagory and first place in the fresh- man, sophomore catagory. Since weive re- ceived so many honors at various exhibitions, I feel that the woodshop classes should be considered the most talented at Saratoga High. -Dale Bruce X
