A yearbook reflects the vital qualities of a school. The qualities of any school are no more than a reflection of the people of the school. In 1967 the Sentinel is designed to reflect the pres- ence of these qualities in the academic, athletic, and social aspects of Saratoga Central High School. Contents Student Life Faculty Classes Activities Athletics Advertisements 3 HlflHlIH Study and Hard Work Reflect the Desire for Success 4 Chatting, Talking, Eating, Going . . . We Found Time 1 ! i- 7 9 Dedication She set a good example for us-- We respect her. She proved to be our loyal friend -- We appreciate her. She gave her best in knowledge and work W e honor her . For the past several years a certain in- dividual has stood out in our thoughts. Her life represents what we would like to be. Her cheerful thoughts and friendly ways make our days seem brighter. So often her classes have heard her say, It takes a heap o ' livin’ in a house t ' make it home. (HOMES, by Edgar A. Guest). We agree. And we paraphrase, and say, It takes a heap o ' good quali- ties in a teacher t’ make her unforgettable --wisdom, patience, understanding, courage . We, the Senior Class, proudly dedicate this 1967 edition of the SENTINEL to Mrs. ' Peggy Grady Ellis, whose life represents a heap o ' good things that will so often inspire us toward a heap o ' good, honor- able, happy living. 10 Administration and Faculty They lead us to fountains of knowledge which will guide us through future years. Principal Mr. Alvin Narron, Jr. On behalf of our faculty, it is my sin- cere desire to express to all of you, and to our seniors in particular, that the spirit of friendly democracy on our campus is the product of outworking, thinking, learning, and playing together. May our experiences here in Saratoga Central High School be symbolical of our intellectual outlook and interest in all mankind. May your associations continue to be as pleas- ant as ours have been here. Sincerely, Alvin Narron, Jr. 12 Faculty Mrs. Peggy Ellis Home Economics. Many hours of outside work are centered around tables in the homes of various staff members. Time and worry are the foremost ingredients in producing a good annual. Long hou of school time and many hours of outside time are necessary. Worries consist of financial concerns, deadline problems, picture schedules, cropping pictures, and typing copy. Our ' ' money problems fall on the capable shoulders of our Business Manager, Danny Beamon and his Assistant Business Manager, Kathy Bridgers.
