Execa tive fficer Captain Jerome H Watson, USN Captain Watson was born in Brooklyn, New York and attended metropolitan schools including Fordham Uni- versity prior to entering the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland in 1951. After graduation in 1955, he entered flight training and was designated a Naval Aviator in 1956. From 1957 to 1961 he saw duty with Attack Squadron Forty-Six, NAS Cecil Field and made Mediterranean cruises aboard aircraft carriers INTREPID and ROOSEVELT. He was then assigned to Attack Squadron Forty- Four as a Flight Attack Instructor until 1964. He served as an Emergency Action Officer with the United States Strike Command at MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida and in 1966, graduated from the Naval War College. He was next assigned to Attack Squadron One-Seventy- Four as the first A-7 Replacement Pilot, only the 67th pilot to fly the A7A aircraft. In 1967, he joined Attack Squadron Eighty-Six and deployed to Southeast Asia aboard AMERICA. In 1969 he returned to the Naval War College, where he earned his Master's Degree in International Relations. Ca tain Watson returned to Cecil Field and Attack Squadron One-Seventy-Four in 1970, as Maintenance Officer P and Executive Officer until june 1971 when he deployed aboard SARATOGA as Executive Officer of Attack Squadron Thirty-Seven, participating in the first CV Evaluation. In january 1972, he assumed command of VA-37 and again deployed with SARATOGA on an emergency deployment to Southeast Asia. Prior to becoming Executive Officer aboard SARATOGA. he was the OperationsfReadiness Officer on the staff of Commander Tactical Wings Atlantic, NAS jacksonville, Florida. He is married to the former Patricia DeWagenese of Stuart, Florida. 'll

Officer Captain Robert F Dann, USN Captain Robert F. Dunn, entered the Navy from Chicago, Illinois, his birthplace. After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1951, he served his first sea duty in the USS NICHOLAS CDDE-4495 operating in the Formosa Straits, the Sea of japan and the Yellow Sea, during the Korean War. Following flight training, Captain Dunn served further sea duty tours flying A1 Skyraiders and A4 Skyhawlcs from attack carriers in both the Pacific and Atlantic. In 1965 he commanded a Skyhawk Squadron flying Southeast Asian combat missions from the Gulf of Tonkin. His most recent carrier tour was as Air Wing Commander in a carrier in the Mediterranean flying attack and fighter aircraft during the Jordanian Crisis of 1970. Beyond flying tours, Captain Dunn has also served at sea on a Carrier Division Commander's Staff in the Pacific Fleet in the Pacific, as Operations Officer on the Staff of the Commander, Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean, and more recently as Commanding Officer, USS MOUNT WHITNEY CLCC-205. Shore tours for Captain Dunn have included study at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and at the United Kingdom joint Services Staff College in England. He has served as a flight instructor in Pensacola, Florida and as the Polaris Missile Special Projects Office Representative in Sacramento, California. He has also served in the Bureau of Naval Personnel as Head of Officer Distribution Plans and Program Branch. Captain Dunn has commanded SARATOGA since September 1974. He is married to the former Annette Brown of Pensacola, Florida. 'IO Commanding
