Starting the season with five straight eonferenee victories. the Sailors met their only two tlefeats at the hamls of the Bradenton Golden Wave-, 3 to 2, aml 5 to 4. ln the SFC tournament, the Wzlve fell before the Sarasota batting power in the semi-finals. 9 to 7. Three of the Sailors, Tom Brown, Charlie Haml, and Paul Eskew. captain of this year's team. were on the championship nine for the past three seasons. Butch Brown. top-flight pitcher, won his seeontl championship game in two years of hurling.
