SENIOR VARSITY CHEER - LE DER I Early each spring, selections of cheerleaders are made througha series of tryouts. Any girl entering senior high school is eligible to try out for the varsity cheerleaders. The head cheerleader is chosen from the final group by popular vote. The cheerleaders try to encour- age the students' enthusiasm at pep rallies, assemblies, football games and basketball games. This year the girls have trav- eled to all the out of town football games anda few of the basketball games. In order to make this possible, the girls raised transportation money by having dances and selling hot dogs at home football games. Mrs. Watcrstraat, Cwacli WHOSE - cor .
