Varsity Haskefball Team: Allan Gratto, Don Beauharnois, Tom Terry, Lynn King, Bill Casey, Jack Lashway, Jim Ryan. Dave Chisholm, Mike Perry, Jim Ohlsen, Allan Palmer, Bob Wood, Wayne Chasey Skip LaRose, Coach Towne, Bill Sackett. Cheerleaders: Donna Facteau, Betty Bouyea, Salli Rabideau, Barb Monty, Nancy Newell, Judy Hackett, Sue Connell, Stephanie Carpenter, Susie Goddeau, Marilyn Buckley. Witli a dramatic Win over Dannemora at the conclusion of the league play, the Chiefs captured the CCIL trophy with a thirteen and two recod. This prompted the team to move aggressively into the Class A sectionals in pursuit of a second trophy. The Saranac Chiefs were finally subdued in the semi-final play-offs, but are still a fine and proud team supporting an overall record of seventeen Wins and three defeats. 98 9:

faaiar Varsity Basketball Displaying balance, depth, spirited team work, ability and a will to succeed, the Saranac Junior Chiefs earned a fine 15-2 record. They finished in second place in league play with 12 Wins and 2 losses. Saranac was the only team to defeat Mooers, the league leader. Many of these players should be a credit to the varsity in years to come.
