Sept. 13 Charlotte Oviatt and Betsy Lynch take over the job of cheer-lead- ing. Oct. 3 Corporal Boyd and representa- tives of the Red Cross make us realize how important blood banks are to our lighting men. Oct. 6 Everyone has a wonderful time selling fand eatingj candy at the Grape Festival. Oct. I4 We're off early for Dominican to compete with other schools at the first of our Play Days. Oct. I7 The Fifth and Sixth Grades en- tertain us at an enjoyable assembly. Oct. 24 We spend a memorable forty minutes listening to Mr. Silva of the Met tell us about opera. N ofu. 3 Games and box lunches provided by the Seniors proved an afternoon of fun for the Seniors and Sophomores at their inter-class party. - N ofv. 22-27 Last night's homework is lost from our minds as we suddenly wake up to the fact that Thanksgiving Vacation is here again. Dec. 9 Due to the man-power shortage, we have Open-House at our success- ful School Dance. Dee. 12 Santa Claus Cin the person of Julianaj visits Hamlin again to give thexLower School their gifts. 1 Dee. 1 3-1 5 Shirley Neitzel and Doris Spencer are lovely as the madonnas in the annual Christmas Pageant. Feb. 27 Mrs. W. W. Douglas helps us to understand the Dumbarton Oaks Peace Plan at one of our most interesting Assemblies.
