This year we would like to dedicate the 1980 Sapulpan to one of the most loved educators in Sapulpa, W. H. (Bill) Shaw. ‘‘Shaw’’ as he is known, is the head of the Industrial Arts Dept, and teaches drafting, general auto mechanics and stage craft. He was born on June 7, 1915 in Vanoss, Okla. and attended East Central State College where he received a B.A. and a Master's degree. Shaw started his teaching career in Tishomingo after he returned from the Army. He moved from there to Healdton in 1953 where he stayed until 1958. His next move was to Sapulpa where he has been ever since. Shaw has taught many different classes in his 32 years of teaching, these were: general auto, auto shop, stagecraft, drafting, audiovisual, woodworking, leathercraft, history, math, science, and even one year of girls basketball. He is an avid supporter of all school activities, especially wrestling. He has made it possible for our plays and many programs to have that professional look of good backgrounds and props. Shaw can be found at everything from dances to meetings but especially the steps during graduation. We would like to thank you for playing such an important role in developing OUR SAPULPA HIGH. 3
