. . . memories Spirit Chieftain Style! Just what was our style? Crown students attending football games firmly grasping their blue balloons. (Not just the sophomores either!) Rooters dabbling in the fine arts of taxidermy and arson then calling their lumpy fire hazard George . Students donning their favorite hats to parade the halls. Class members scrunching up newspaper then stuffing it into chicken wire far into the night. The Rooter's Club disguising the cafeteria with dazzling crepe paper and balloons for the Saturday night dance. And at last the climax: announcing the winner of the float contest with first place going to the Seniors. (Luckily, good spelling was not a major concern of the judges.) 6
