As time progressed there was a need for a change to bigger and better things. Mr. Cockrum felt the need this year as he accepted a new position. Through the nine years of loyalty and devotion, Mr. Cockrum showed us that he really cared for the students and staff. Mr. Charles Dodson took on the task of managing both, the junior and senior high schools. Many things have happened that will have made Mr. Cockrum's last year a memorable one for all. Language Arts — Communication ex primez-vous! expresese a si mismo! express yourself! SHS invites students to explore in language arts. French classes prepared and ate their own French meal. They studied cultures and holidays of France . . . Spanish students took a trip to Mexico and experienced first hand the cultures of the Spanish . . . English classes covered a variety of material from Macbeth to the Red Badge of Courage . . . Students amazed one another by their speeches and stage performances in Speech classes.
