Not shown is Herchel Avra. Student Council sponsors, Mr. Booze and Miss Fisher, review the handbook of student council ideas and projects. Student Council is dedicated to the proposition that all students are created equal. Homerooms are represented by students elected the previous spring. This group of students sponsors several projects throughout the year, such as the Snack Bar, Howdy Week, and Bundle Week. The council plans these activities through committee work which is the basis of work in any organization. All students at Sapulpa High School have a voice in the council through their elected representatives, who relay ideas from their homerooms to the council. Many excellent ideas are presented in the council to help it in its work. Student Council officers. Tommy Tucker, president; Lynne Luker, historian; Marilyn Denham, recording secretary; Jimmy Hayes, parliamentarian; John Hodges, vice-president; Patti Hayes, chaplain; Pam McCrory, corresponding secretary, and Jan Taylor, treasurer, have an executive board meeting in the auditorium.
