QuJjp nhidb jjj CootAhudM Mr. Vaughn takes an interest in student activities. Mrs. Vaughn often attends sport events with her husband. As a man who dedicates his life to young people, Mr. Vaughn realizes that the most important and meaningful times to learn are the years of youth. He knows the educational needs of the youth and his job is to see that these needs are fulfilled. Mr. Vaughn, who is listed in Who's Who In American Education , received his degrees from East Central State College and Oklahoma University. Fishing and gardening are among the hobbies he enjoys, although these activities have slackened due to increasing professional responsibilities. 13

BotwL Gdujcctii(M Dfoecfe Mr. Donald L. Korn, an active five-year member of the Board, has resided in Sapulpa for the past sixteen years. He is associated with the crude oil tank coating business. Dr. John J. McCrory, a four year member of the Board, has lived in Sapulpa sixteen years. He has practiced dentistry during this time. Mr. Louis V. Stuart, a seven year member of the Board of Education, is in the retail lumber business. Mr. Russell D. Franklin, a three year member of the Board, has resided in Sapulpa all his life. He is associated with the Bell Telephone Company. Mr. Clyde T. Patrick, the newest member of the Board, is associated with his father in their law practice. Mr. Sam T. Allen, a prominent Sapulpa lawyer, has served the Board for the past twelve years as attorney. Mr. Howard Gilliam, Jr., has served as treasurer of the Board for nine years. He is in the furniture business with his father. Mrs. Helen Miller resided in Sapulpa most of her life. She served as clerk of the Board for the past fourteen years. Deceased April 26, 1965. 12

Mrs. Mitchell, High School Registrar, and Carroll Garringer place daily bulletin in teachers' boxes. P'duCtfiQl' Mr. John Cockrum, a graduate of Northeastern State College, has a B.S. degree in Physical Education and received his Master's Degree in School Administration at the University of Tulsa. A principal for thirteen years, he came to Sapulpa in 1960 where he served in the capacity of Junior High School Principal for three years. He is a member of the Lions Club, the First Presbyterian Church, Oklahoma Education Association, National Education Association, Oklahoma Secondary School Principals Association, and the National Association of School Principals. He is interested in all sports, mainly golf and football. He is married and has a daughter, Debbie, who is a junior at Sapulpa High. 14
