Aspiration is the mark of the noble man who sets his goals high. p This struggle is like the ocean's rush against the highest rocks. Yet the water chips away so that eventually only particles of sand remain. The generations of students who have passed through these halls and buildings exemplify this struggle. They show a per- severance and, above all a refusal to turn back when one is just at his goal. This is the spurthat makes man master ignorance, ineffi- ciency, and indifference. Equipped with the knowledge and understand- ing he finds here, he strives forth to complete his goal and to achieve his ideals from which all nobleness proceeds .
