f 5 A new emphasis on education, a different Cmore responsiblel approach to our social lives, and an attitude that has finally caught up with the pressures of school in the 80's were all sym- bolic of a tradition breaking year, that will go unparalleled for a generation, And with the re- straining jacket of tradition finally gone, the True Colors of a pulsating vibrant student body burned and etched itself into the very founda- tions of the Santana Campus. The Senior class was on the cutting edge of Truth can be found in the rainbow, we're all our own color. -x the broken and shattered traditions. The first graduating class with the tougher credit stan- dards, the Seniors took a more serious approach to their class load. And classes that would be returning in the Fall began to blossom and sprout up into maturity through the broken tra- ditions of a Santana year. From the tradition-breaking Christmas dance, to the true colors of Sultan Spirit in our pep- ralliesg Santana's school life and every single Sul- tan has been trapped here in a tradition-breaking yearbook. And as you flip through these pages and memories of a year that has pastg never forget that you are the hammer that will eventu- ally break all traditions and burn with the true colors that are yours and yours alone.
