FASHIO FLAIR ashion-conscious Sultans, eager to rid themselves of a rural back- ground, dressed with flair and that unique Sultan style. From the eerie mysterious touch ofthe punk and mod music scenes, to the traditional jock look, Reeboks and sweats, one could see the intensity and vary- ing lyestyles in the threads we wore. It was obvious musical interests influ- enced how we looked. A trip through the halls brought one in touching distance with a student who either looked like Howard Jones, Vince Niel, Johnny Rotten, David Bowie or some other idolized musical art- ist. Each style added to the originality of the Sultan Scene. .,.,.-- 8 Fads and Fashion -V4 if? i . Y' 3 Digi gf, W qv . Gotcha. ell Santana, we've Gotcha like you've never been gotten before. On the fated day of October 1, The Got- cha Crew took the campus by storm. And up until the last picture was taken, the staff still wasn't quite sure what Gotcha was. Even now we are not absolutely sure about what we have done. But one thing we have found, if you take one camera and add it to a bunch of Sul- tans, well you soon see for yourseM that something in the flash or film instantly transforms every Sultan around into a ham or Hamlet. And since it is, only inches away from impossible, to get a truly candid shot on the Santana campus, we decided to let the stu- dents flaunt their favorite poses. T he joke's on you, you posers.
