DECA, Temorrew's Business Leaders Santana's DECA club belongs to a nationwide organization known as Distributive Education Clubs of T America. The club functions as an area for students to develop leadership skills as well as gain experience in technical and social helds. Once a year DECA holds a state career development conference in Northern or Southern California. During this conference members compete for awards in such areas as sales, advertising and display. The students spend two days at the conference and are able to meet and enjoy contact with other members of DECA from all over the state. Advisors: Miss Small, Mr. Streib. Le Cercle de Fransais, better known as the French Club is composed of 22 students in advanced French classes. The advisor of the Club is Mrs. Rooney. This is the first year of the Club, and a trip to Montreal Canada is their first goal. These spirited students have put in a great amount of time and effort raising money for this event. The students started earning money during the summer of 1976. Some of the fund raising events during the year were car washes, candy sales, drawings, a banquet, paper drives, and other activities.
