Strapping a leg is one of the many things Joe does in a typical day. To Santana ' s athletes he ' s the fix-it man. Seeing about forty boys a day, Joe does everything from massaging to bandaging to giving someone a whirl pool bath. Before coming to Santana, Joe was a trainer for the San Diego Chargers, the Richmond Boiler¬ makers, and for the last four years, the El Cajon Sabers. He was born in Santa Clara on Feb. 17, 1917. My life ' s had its ups and downs, he says. The ups con¬ sist of a wonderful wife, four great sons and a lovely daughter. Joe ' s life is not all sports, how¬ ever. At home, he has a hobby of collecting smoking pipes. He has over one hundred. Because of his genuine interest in people and his many talents we dedicate the following pages to Mr. Joe Rogers. joe shows us he has a sense of humor, too. I really get the money for being senior class counselor, says MR. ALBERT VAN ZANTEN. Our great junior class counselor, MR. GORDON TEABY, is caught off guard.
