Halloween The Halloween Dance which replaced the usual Homecoming Dance, was one of the most well received school activities of the year. The decoration, included horror movie promotions and hundreds of pumpkins sup- plied by the P.L.O. (Pumpkin Liberation Organization). The turnout was fantastic, comparable to the turnout at the Sadie Hawkins dance. As the ASB Commissioner of Spirit stated, We actually made money this time.” This years’ Halloween set a precedent for all the other activities in the 82-83 school year. The success of the Halloween Dance is hoped to spread to next year's class also. As ASB president Cathy Toscano said, Wc'vc started something here that we hope will continue on after we have graduated. All in all. the entire Halloween festivities were enjoyed by the whole student body. Halloween

Folk Concert The 1982 folk concert was a great success. A lot of students tried out for positions at the folk concert. Only the best received a spot in the show. Mr. Campbell did a great job organizing this year’s Folk Concert. He spent a lot of time and money to make it a success. Despite the rude audience the per- formers did a great job and showed tremen- dous courage. Mike O’Neill and Corey Mandell did a great job m.c.-ing the show, and keeping the audience awake to see the stage crew which consisted of Jeff Hamilton! (and any other available person.) Mike O'Neill did a great job when he appeared as John Belushi, and the crowd went crazy. At the end of his per- formance, Mike received a standing ovation. Also receiving an ovation was Denny's Com- bo, which consisted of Randy Burk, Mark Palazolo, and Ray Stevens. The 1983 Folk Concert played to a full house and a great success.
